ncSender Pendant Aluminum Case Upgrade

Give your ncSender Pendant a premium look and feel with this CNC-machined aluminum replacement case. This upgrade replaces the original enclosure while reusing the existing electronic components from your pendant.

Compared to the standard 3D-printed case, this aluminum enclosure is noticeably heavier, giving the pendant a more substantial, rigid, and premium feel. The added weight also makes it feel more stable and durable during everyday use.

Compatibility

• Compatible with the ncSender Pendant.
• Reuses the original display, PCB, encoder, buttons, and mounting hardware.
  
  

Installation

Before You Begin

• Power off the pendant before disassembly.
• Work on a clean, static-free surface.
• Important: The side power button is fragile. Do not force it during disassembly or reassembly.
  
  

Disassembly

1. Remove the back cover.
2. Remove the four screws securing the display.
3. After removing the screws, gently push the display out through one of the mounting holes using a small plastic or non-marring tool.
4. Remove the PCB mounting screws and the four screws securing the encoder.
5. Carefully lift out the PCB while paying close attention to the side power button.
6. Remove the encoder from the original case.
   
   

Reassembly

1. Install the encoder into the new aluminum case.
2. Reinstall the PCB, making sure the side power button is properly aligned and moves freely.
3. Reinstall the display and secure it with the four display screws.
4. Reattach the back cover.
5. Power on the pendant and verify that the touchscreen, encoder, and power button operate correctly.
   
   

Notes

• The aluminum case is significantly heavier than the original 3D-printed enclosure. This is intentional and provides a premium, solid feel.
• Do not overtighten any screws.
• Handle the display and PCB carefully to avoid damage.
• If any component does not fit easily, stop and verify its alignment before applying pressure.
